Daarbenewens word hierdie spesifieke ontwerp al dekades lank aanbeveel vir gebruik tydens swangerskap en tydens borsvoeding. Daar is twee vulsels beskikbaar: polistireen en polipropileen. Polistireenkussings pas maklik by die liggaam se kontoere aan, terwyl polipropileenkussings hul vorm beter hou.
